Directed by: Hemanth Rao
Starring: Anant Nag, Rakshit Shetty, Sruthi Hariharan, Achyuth Kumar, Vasishta N. Simha
This movie has a similar theme to Raajakumara and deals with how we as a society treat our parents as they get older.
Anant Nag plays Venkob Rao, an old man suffering from Alzheimer’s disease. Due to the problems assoicated with this disease, his son (Rakshit Shetty) puts him in an old age home because he doesn’t have the time needed to care for someone suffering from a disease that requires constant attention. Sruthi Hariharan is a doctor who takes care of the old patients there.
Rakshit’s career is on the upward curve and he has shifted to Mumbai to pursue it further. One day, he comes to Bengaluru on a work-related meeting and decides to meet his father for a short while. He takes Venkob Rao out shopping as a duty rather than out of affection or care. While returning, he gets distracted and Venkob Rao wanders away and is lost.
There is an angle of a murder in a land scam deal which Venkob gets involved in. But the main theme of the movie is how Rakshit is forced to go in search of his father with the help of Sruthi Hariharan and how he slowly begins to understand his father more.
