Jogi was another massive hit from Shiva Rajkumar dealing with the underworld after Om.
In Jogi, he plays Madesha a roadside tea seller who kills a notorious underworld don. The rival gang is impressed with his courage and bails him out of jail hoping that he will work for them. But he instead goes back to selling tea. This becomes a well known news item and a journalist (Jennifer Kotwal) decides to investigate and write a story about Madesha. However, he does not give her the story. Jennifer then meets an old woman who has come from a village to the city searching for someone. There is a cruel twist of fate as the connection between Madesha and the old woman is revealed.
While the film was criticized in some places for glorifying violence, the moral of the story is about the dangers of violence. Om and Jogi are usually credited for being the most original and best movies that deal with longus and macchus.
