Mano is brought up by his mother Jayamma (Lakshmi) who takes care of an old Parsi lady whose son lives abroad. The old lady’s house is filled with books and when she dies, all those books come to Jayamma and her son. Mano therefore grows up reading books and Jayamma earns a living selling them.
Mano as a grown up young man owns a book store which is popular among girls. But he doesn’t bother about them and instead likes to spend time trekking and other activities like conducting dance classes for kids in his area. His bookstore is next to an astrologer and one day he sees Nandhini (Shanvi) come there after her mother asked the astrologer to help her pass her exams. The astrologer gives a lot of complicated pujas to do and seeing her struggle, Mano feels sorry for her. He then keeps noticing her in different places and starts liking her. Mano has a lot of friends who all like him because of his knowledge and friendly and helpful character. Once Mano gets to know about Nandhini’s problems he decides to help her using his contacts and their relationship grows from there.
